Short Description To assist in executing contract and tendering related activities as assigned, by coordinating with end users to finalize scope, undertaking necessary market studies, preparing tender documents, reviewing and negotiating contract terms and administering assigned contracts to ensure they optimum execution in the best interest of QSTec and in line with contract terms.
Detailed Description Major Duties / Responsibilities :
  • Receive and review contract and tenders and ensure they are fully and accurately completed as required.
  • Maintain documentation of received tenders and proposals from suppliers and assist compile a list of bids/offers for evaluation and selection as assigned.
  • Assist in compiling contracts requisition and placing orders for required materials while ensuring accurate communication with suppliers on expected delivery times and material specification.
  • Assist analyse material costs and suggest ways of maximizing savings to the company.
  • Support research and compile required information to facilitate negotiation on price and terms with vendors as requested.
  • Assist maintain up-to-date lists of contractors and pricing arrangements to enable comparison of most favourable terms.
  • Assist in compiling contracts requirements based on Supply section’s details on available stocks of materials and equipment to plan purchases and avoid shortages.
  • Maintain and update comprehensive database of contract and tenders; as well as preferred and non-approved and blacklisted suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Assist in review requests for deviations from contract specifications and delivery schedules and advise management on appropriate action – rejection or approval.
Work Experience:
2 + years’ experience in supply contracts; procurement/purchasing function. Experience in handling contract and tenders preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry such as  oil/ gas, petrochemical, power plant.

Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Business related field

Skill/Capabilities/ Languages:

Ø  Bilingual (Arabic & English)

Ø  Strong knowledge of contracts and business law.

Ø  In-depth knowledge of required administrative and/or operations services (technical or general).

Ø  Knowledge of leading best practices contracts and procurement.

Ø  Attention to detail.

Ø  Strong negotiation skills.

Ø  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Computer literacy with high proficiency in MS Office and ERP modules
