Construction of the plant is in the final stages and first silicon out will be in December 2014. There are 2 polysilicon trains under construction which will produce the 8,000 metric tonnes per annum. Train one will be completed first with the second train being completed a short time after.
QSTec is already moving along the value chain and is constructing a 150 Megawatt (MW) solar module facility and a 1.4MW solar farm on it's Ras Laffan site.
Exports of polysilicon to QSTec's customers will commence in 2015.
